Microsoft stopped Kin sales as sale failed to pick up

Just 48 days after Microsoft started selling the Kin, a smartphone for the young, the company discontinued its sale it due to disappointing sales. Microsoft has taken two years to develop the Kin who was supported with a hefty advertising budget.

Forrester Research analyst Charles S. Golvin calls the "complete failure"
and said he was surprised by the killing of Microsoft product faster than the company's history to new products and improve them over long-term.

Consumer product unit of Microsoft has struggled to offer a credible competitor to Apple iPod and iPhone, and a variety of smart phones based on Android software. Tablet computer project, which was designed to rival Apple IPAD has been withdrawn recently.
Microsoft has announced that the Kin team moved to Phone Windows 7 Phone is scheduled for draft completion in the fall.
