Windows Trick - Make any site unaccesible from your pc

If you want to block any website unaccessable from your laptop/computer then you don't need any software. How you can block any website is just be editing HOSTS file in your windows PC.


1.  Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2.  Find the file named "HOSTS"
3.  Open it in notepad
4.  Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.site-name-you-want-to-block.com , and that site will  no longer be accessable.
5.  Done!

for example
 127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2  www.xyz.com

Now www.xyz.com would be blocked in your system.

Advanced Information - 
What's happening exactly here - Here when you will do as written above, then after this whenever you will try to browse www.xyz.com you will be redirected to 127.0.0.2, but there is no address like this, So you will not able to browse any site with xyz.com name.
